REMINDER

The Stoke-on-Writing (StOW) writers' group is pleased to announce our first Guest Speakers. On 10th April 2010, from 11.30 am to 1.00 pm, StOW hosts a Q&A session on scriptwriting with the Rotten Park Road Theatre Company’s Lynne Payne (Creative Producer) and Patrick McConnell (Artistic Director and Resident Writer).

The Rotten Park Road Theatre Company is an amalgamation of Staffordshire-based artists who joined forces to create new, challenging and interesting work in a variety of mediums. The Rotten Park Theatre Company will have a permanent base at the Mitchell Memorial Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent when it reopens later in 2010. For more information visit their site.

This talk is free to StOW members; there is a small fee of £2.00 for non-members. Space is limited so please book in advance, and book soon: email here.

Scriptwriting

If anyone is interested in writing screenplays, you may wish to check out the following links. The first is for ScriptSmart, from the BBC. The second is Microsoft's own template. I don't know how good they are, or if they function at all. There are other templates available, that cost money. These two links here are currently free : BBC and MS Word.
